May 12, 2013 · I have Motorola SURFboard SBG6580 wifi cable modem. (purchased February 2013) When I plug 2 Macs into the SBG6580 connected via ethernet cables, I get gigabit speeds on my LAN. That part works. But when I try to connect via wifi, I only get about 80 M bit speeds on my LAN (even though the mac is using 802.11n mode.)
